Treasury on the front page of Etsy!

Pick Three Handmade Soap - Cold Process Method - With Shea Butter - You Pick Your Scent

I decided to offer 3 soap bundles in my shop. I think it will take the guess work out of how many to purchase and you can't beat the shipping price of $4.75! I picked up this bucket at an Estate sale last year and I really like to use it in my pictures.
I used scrap paper to wrap my soaps in. The paper came in a bundle and they match in color and style, which I like!

Preppy Is Back In!

I love how these turned out! I scented the batch with Carnation and threw in a little spice since I love spicy Carnations! I was going to use these color for my Hydrangea soap, but the batch traced too fast and I didn't have enough time to mix in any colors.

I have the hardest time taking pictures of my lip balm! Maybe because they are so small, or maybe because most of them are flavored with fruit scents....anywho...I took some new ones today. What do you think? Watermelon, Banana, and Bubble Gum!

St, Louis Lemp Beer Soap!

I made some Lemp Beer Soap the other day! I added some Happy Man fragrance to the bar and the combination is quite nice!
What is Lemp Beer?
In 1838 there was only one lager in Saint Louis, in fact, in all of America. Lemp beer! America’s first lager and still the best. Taste the beer that started it all! Lemp, America’s first, America’s finest and the original Saint Louis lager.

I Was On The Front Page Friday!

I had so many wonderful Etsians tell me that my soap was on the front page. What an awesome coummunity Etsy is!

Salad Anyone?

I colored the base with a light green and the smaller swirl with the same color, but more concentrated. It's scented with Avocado Mint!

Hot Process Soap

I tried my hand at hot process soap last night. I used the oven, and although they smell wonderful, I'm not sure I like the appearance. Here is a big hunk of soap! It smells soooo good...scented with Patchouli and Ylang Ylang Essential Oils.I also cut some smaller bars for guest bathrooms.
And with the leftover shreds, I made Soap Balls! These are huge and weigh over 4 ounces each!

I asked, you answered, I listened!

I spent the day making loads of lip balms...whew! I haven't made any for a long time and was very low on stock. I made:

Watermelon
Bubblegum
Banana
Grapefruit
Pomegranate
Rootbeer
Peppermint

I also made a batch of Sandalwood Vanilla soap!

I'm tired!

Ooops!

Everything was going smoothly until I added my fragrance oil, Fresh Linen! It started to "glob" up, so I had t quickly pour it into the mold.













Here it is cut. This piece doesn't look too bad, but take a peek at the very bottom of the bar...oils did not mix up.



Soooo...I cut it up and plopped it into the crock pot!

Poured, cooled, and cut! They don't look as pretty, but they sure smell good!

Is It Fall Yet?

I made a fresh batch of Pumpkin Spice soap the other day. I just love this scent!
Here is the color I used. It's a brick red.












Here it is in the mold. It's not really as pink as what is showing.
























Cut and sliced! It smells wonderful!!

Scents of Summer!

I made a garden soap yesterday with Sweet Pea, Lily of the Valley, and Honeysuckle....Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

My Baby Graduated From Grad School!

I can't believe that my "baby" has graduated from grad school! It seems like only yesterday she was a toddler running around the house!
She not only graduated from grad school, but she did so with a 4.0!

Here are a few pictures that "vanished" when I was uploading yesterday. This picture is when I JUST turned on the stick blender. See the little bit of white around the stick? That's the first sign of the lye reacting to the oils










This is when I just put the mica in. It's such a pretty color!





















This is the mica. It comes in a powder and to mix it better, I took a few tablespoons of oils and mixed it all together in a little tub.

Cut and sliced and they smell wonderful!! Made with pure Lavender and Peppermint Essential Oils. My house smells divine!

An Awesome Etsy Seller - ImagineStudio

I was chatting with ImagineStudio the other day and admiring this picture. I couldn't take my eyes off of it! To my surprise, she offered to send me a 4x6 print of it!
I received it Saturday and I can't believe how beautiful it is in person! The colors and clarity are out of this world!! Her other work is amazing too, so be sure to stop in and be as amazed as I was!!

Second Batch of Soap....This Is Addicting!

Here's the batch all wrapped up! I have the soap log on top of some newspapers, since the granite can get cold, and the blanket on top.














Here's the "soap box" I made. It's a wooden box that held some matching Christmas ornaments. Makes a sturdy box. I just popped the lid on!
















Here's the soap! I lined the box with parchment paper and placed plastic wrap on top of the soap.
